I've discovered two new favorite blogs to follow! If you're interested in interior design, or anything pretty in general, definitely check out Coco + Kelly as well as SfGirlByBay! I just discovered this gem and loved everything about it! The majority of these photos come from their blog, with the exception of a few! Hope you enjoy!
Great news fellow bloggers! As I mentioned previously, I was stressing out about my business presentation but that is overwith and it went really well! It felt like a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders today! Also I've received call backs from all three of my job opportunities so when I come home next week I'll interview and hopefully land a position with either Anthropologie, UrbanOutfitters, or Madewell! I'm so excited! In the meantime here is a mix of photos including some inspiration, my own photography, and my outfit choice of the day! Thank you for all of your comments and following my blog! It is greatly appreciated - I can't say it enough!
Celeb Inspiration: Kourtney Kardashian and son Mason on Easter Sunday! Too Cute! Love both of their outfits :)
I should change the name of my blog to "Style Stalker" - saw this maxi on a fellow student and had to document!
Unique Colored Blooms
Pink Flower Trees Line Fordham's Campus - I love the configuration of the flowers in the 2nd photo
Pretty shots around campus
Ground Perspective - I love the way magnolia tree petals look on the ground
Beauty of Spring :)
Below is what I wore on this wonderful spring day! This dress is one of my favorites because of the pleats, vibrant colors, and overall cut! Unfortunately I was unable to document the back, but there is an exposed zipper and also cutouts. It's very intricate! Also, I know I've worn these shoes on several of my posts but I can't help it! They literally go with everything! There's a closeup on the detail of the print and I decided to go with the beige color-scheme rather than the pinks. I felt so chic and girly walking around campus in my pleated dress and wedges! Perfect outfit for spring :)
Dress - UrbanOutfitters
Wedges - Jessica Simpson
Purse - Converse (Target)
Pearls - Nordstrom BP
More inspiration from Le Fashion. Love everything! - the tweed, her bag, hair, and sunglasses (similar cat-eye style shades to Kourtney's sunglasses in my first photo)
Well after a fun, loving, family-filled weekend, I find myself sitting up in my little loft at Fordham bored out of my mind once again! I'm going to apologize in advance for this rant, but I need to vent on here really quickly! I have a huge business presentation on Wednesday and I'm so nervous! Unfortunately public speaking is one of my least favorite things to do, and I have to give a 20 minute presentation in front of a class of 40; can you say intimidating? I hope it goes well, but the nerves are already percolating! Besides that, this weekend was tons of fun being home and actually having time to relax/be stress free! Now that I'm back at school, taking my own pictures will go back to being difficult and I probably will rely on mostly inspiration for the next few posts. I may put up a few shots of campus because literally everything is in bloom and it is beautiful! Luckily I am finished in two short weeks and then it's summer aka total-devotion-to-blog time! Also on a side-note I had an interview at Anthropologie today and I'd say it went pretty well! Again, I was nervous but I got some positive feedback, so hopefully that can give me confidence for my presentation. I'm waiting for call backs from the other stores. Fingers crossed!
Advice for everyone reading this post: GO SEE WATER FOR ELEPHANTS! Oh my goodness I literally am obsessed with that movie, I already have seen it twice in theaters and downloaded the soundtrack. Robert Pattinson is so perfect in every scene of it (and no, I'm not just another crazed diehard Twilight fan) and the plot is captivating and intense. Some scenes are hard to watch but overall it was an excellent movie and I highly recommend it! In the words of my mom, "Rosie the elephant stole the show!". Go see it!
This is currently my desktop background - I told you I was obsessed! If you see it or have seen it, let me know what you think!
The sets and costumes of the 1930's circus genre are so fun to see so I figured I'd throw a few on here for some vintage/costume inspiration
Why does the weather always suck in New York? Here's a comparison:
80's and sunny...
Fordham Lincoln Center
Foggy, gloomy, windy, cold 60's...
I actually did think that this picture was pretty cool though because the skyscrapers literally look like they are so tall that they are going into the sky! Regardless of the sucky weather, it's always invigorating to drive back through New York City to get to school. I gotta say, I do love the place.
Love these neutral colors paired together. I'm still trying to master the idea of a sunhat but I really just don't think it looks good on me. That doesn't mean I still can't admire it on other people! What do you think of this look?
I wanted to extend a special thank you to my new followers and for all of the feedback I received on my last post! I am so thrilled to be home because I can finally give my blog all of the attention it deserves! So thank you again for the support, I really appreciate it!
Also, I have some wonderful updates about my weekend at home thus far! First of all, we decided to purchase a nikon d5100 "family" camera this weekend so whenever I'm home my pictures will be of much MUCH better quality! Here are a few pictures I took with the new camera! Awesome photo quality! I'm so excited to use this camera more often :)
Secondly, I spent all day today running around the mall applying for retail jobs. I got apps for Nordstrom BP, Anthropologie, UrbanOutfitters, and Madewell. Wish me luck! I'm submitting them Monday, so I'll let you know how it goes! Lastly, I bought these wonderful Steve Madden nude pumps from DSW today for 20$ off! I am thrilled!
Can't wait to showcase an entire outfit with these babies!
